EUSAVE is an energy efficiency and renewable energy evaluation tool kit for existing residential buildings. Designed for use by contractors, energy auditors, architects, and green building professionals, its goal is to provide meaningful results with minimal inputs.

EUSAVE requires some knowledge of building energy science. Realistic outputs rely on realistic inputs.

EUSAVE can be used to model an entire building or any component within it that affects energy consumption.  Analysis modules include:

Generate a customer report comparing up to three improvement packages (good, better, best) that include inflation, energy price escalation, and carbon footprint.

Unique to EUSAVE is a “True-Up” function that compares actual energy consumption to the modeled building.


This tool is intended to provide a reasonable assessment of energy efficiency measures. Given accurate inputs, the tool will capture the energy, cost, and carbon impacts of energy efficiency and renewable energy improvements. It is important to understand how inputs can be used and adjusted so that "effective", rather than nominal (or rated) values are analyzed. Guidance is provided within the tool, however some level of building science knowledge is needed to create a model that reasonably represents existing and improved conditions. EUSAVE is not to be used as a substitute for engineering, architectural, or other professional evaluations.
